This is a fantastic scrip that i use in my pages. This script counts the number of days remaining until any given time. (ie:easter, birthday,New year eve, Christmas etc). All is done automatically. It detects and adjusts to the present year, and if the specified event has already passed this year, it displays the days remaining until the next year's. Very cool and useful for ever webpage or blog.!

This is a scripting language. This is a real programming language that browers understand. For example let's say in HTML you have a text box where someone can type in something.. but you don't want them to write naughty words in it. You could use Javascript to parse the text that was typed in in order to check for naughty words.
